Mentoring in the Physics Department

Mentorship plays a vital role in the academic and research experience within the Physics Department. Effective mentoring supports the professional and intellectual development of students and researchers, while contributing to an environment that values collaboration and respect.

As a pilot department in The Mentoring Project, Physics contributed to the creation of a departmental Mentoring Compact designed to support clear communication, shared expectations, and ongoing dialogue between mentors and mentees. The compact is available as a resource for all members of the Physics community.
