Undergraduate Research Experience

The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in the Department of Physics, at the University of California, San Diego will provide students the opportunity to work with professors, researchers, postdocs, graduate students and undergraduate students on active research projects. The summer program is 10 weeks with a start date of June 19, 1998.

Students will receive:

Biweekly undergraduate seminars will be provided by the faculty. In addition to working on their own research project, students will learn about the research of other REU students as well as graduate students. Students will be invited to participate in social activities coordinated by various undergraduate summer research programs at UCSD.

Eligibility:
U.S. citizens or permanent resident students who are enrolled in a degree program which leads to a bachelor's degree. Women and students from traditionally underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
