Students are advised to apply for admission effective the fall quarter of a given year, although admission for winter and spring quarters is possible.

The deadline to submit the graduate application for the academic year 1999-2000 isThe department should receive all required materials by February 22. Applicants whose files are complete by February 22st will be informed of the results of their application status no later than March 15. Incomplete files and applications received after February 22 will be considered only if space is available.
In addition to the official application form, official transcripts, three letters of recommendation, results of your Graduate Record Examination (GRE); general and advanced Physics scores are required. The GRE examinations must be taken no later than December in order for the scores to be considered by the admissions committee. GRE information for China, India, Korea and Taiwan. Foreign applicants whose native language is not English and whose undergraduate education was conducted in a language other than English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
