A circular plate which has a pipe on its axis for bringing in fast moving air is connected to a compressed air line. When this plate is placed on a ruler, the air flow from the plate around the top of the ruler will reduce the pressure between the plate and the ruler, allowing the rule to be lifted up. This demonstration needs compressed air, thus it can only be done in WLH 2001 or WLH 2005.

This demo can be found on the table in back of the UCSD PUL Demo Room (WLH 2015).
